San Francisco Zen Center is joining in a collaborative effort with Buddhist Peace Fellowship to bring the following to your attention.

Nobel Peace Prize Nominee and nonviolence activist is scheduled to die Dec. 13, 2005, if clemency is not granted.

BEARING WITNESS

MONDAY EVENING

DECEMBER 12, 2005

7:30 PM

The execution is scheduled for 12:01 a.m., December 13.

The vigil is on the evening of December 12 right before the execution.

We will be joining with many others to provide silent witness at the gates of San Quentin.

Everyone is invited to join us by 7:30 p.m. for rideshare from San Francisco Zen Center, 300 Page Street (at Laguna Street) to the East Gate of San Quentin.

Some tips you probably already know: dress warmly and bring a chair/sitting cushion, drop cloths to ward off dampness, maybe a blanket, flashlight, something to eat/drink, whatever will help you be there as a witness.
