A young woman went to Suzuki
Roshi and showed him a twenty-dollar bill she'd just found on the sidewalk in
Japantown. She told him she couldn't decide what to do with it. "Should I give
it to charity, put up a note on a telephone pole and wait, or just keep it?" she
asked him.
"Here," he said, "I'll take
it," and he put it in the sleeve of his robe.
