Well-being service at the Back Porch Zendo

For the special service, we have been doing the Enmei Jukku Kannon Gyo 21 times. (It takes about ten minutes for the whole service - everyone joins in)

The Eko (dedication of merit) by one person:

May all awakened beings extend with true compassion their luminous mirror wisdom.

With full awareness We have chanted the Enmei Jukku Kannon Gyo for protecting life.

We offer the merit and benefit to: (raise pitch)

The ease, well-being and recovery of our dear dharma friends Darlene Cohen and Tony Patchell, and to all sentient beings.

(lower pitch)May we become Buddha's Wa a ay. ( ~ ) O (bell)

Universal Eko (everyone):

All Buddhas ten directions three times
All beings bodhisattvas mahasattvas
Wisdom beyond wisdom, Prajnaparamita

When we do the Tuesday morning well-being service as the morning service, we do the Metta Sutta followed by the Enmei Jukku Kannon Gyo (7 repetitions) and the Eko, mentioning both sutras in the eko.
