The
photograph shows Daniel Abdal-Hayy Moore performing his poetry at the
Berkeley Folk Festival in 1965. Photographer unknown. This is how I
recall Daniel. He was a legend who'd moved beyond the ZC by the time I
met him but he would drop by to visit - with friends in robes and
enveloped in a cloud of pot smoke. What a great character and one who
aged well ever upward!
