Cuke Heart Sutra Center
The old two-sided chant card used at Sokoji in the sixties -
where the SF Zen Center got its start. The translation below the words was put
there by Suzuki Roshi just to give the literal meaning.
Allen Ginsberg liked it so much that he
received Suzuki's permission to sing it in public. Thanks to Janice Karnegis who
sent it and wrote "Here is a scan of the piece,
from Katagiri roshi's files at Minnesota Zen Meditation Center. Just passing it
along." Since putting this up I've found my copy without the words written
on it. May scan it and put it up here in time.
See the four-sided version. See an old Chinese version.
